For instance, ideology could tell you the areas to study or set initial hypothesis before experiments…. But are you willing to accept results if they do not fit the motivating ideology? Do you have examples where this has happened? If the answer is no, this comes across in a similar way to scientific creationism as religious dogmas answer to evolution.
