For all of you losers constantly leaving negative comments, get another life and stop watching this channel. If it is such a pile of negativity that triggers you, you have a choice (and a "delete" button). I, for one, like to watch this channel, whether I agree with SG every time or not. He gives me another perspective.

Wrong size Mi-Lites actually, the Standard size (7-1/4 x 10-1/2) were the correct ones for those books. The ones you got are more suited for Golden Age size comics

dang! Between you and Dave from Collectors comics, the honesty and humility is actually refreshing to listen to. We all make mistakes

Whenever I buy bags, I always buy matching boards from the same company to avoid the same issue. I have made the same mistake before

what I do is I just store my comic books in brown paper sacks and I cut 15 to 20 small holes in the sack so you can see through into the book. it works!

The title has nothing to do with the main topic of the video

For a dentist you have no patience in the markets. Some of your CGC's would've bounced back in time. DO you run and sell stocks every time there's a market scare?

Does it damage the books if you put too many boards in a bag?

7 1/4 bag 7x10 boards, mylite bag, fullback board. I like using 2 boards so the one facing the comic is a fullback and the one behind the fullback is a normal size silver age board. Works very well and haven’t had any issues in 4 plus years.

I think we've all made mistakes with bags & boards, even the same brand may be off by millimeters. I always buy silver age bags & check the dimensions on the package & I buy boards 1-2mm larger even if it's a different brand. As long as the board keeps the bag tight, it's good, the extra room around the comic in a silver age prevents scuffing all the corners & sides of the comic. New or modern bags are cheaper but really increase the chances of damaging your books by constriction & tightness on the spine and covers.

Next step: Wall-Safe Scotch tape instead of Magic tape. No more ripped tape on Mylars.

I’ve been using Mylite 2 bags & backing boards for years with no issues. It’s the way to go if you’re not grading your books 💪🏾

I just swapped out my Marvel GI Joe series into these. It took me a little research to figure out what size would work best. Going to start rebagging my classic Uncanny X-Men with My-Lites. Didn’t notice anything out of sorts with the bags I’ve gotten so far.

The silver/gold is used for dc 1965 and before plus of course most golden age books. Standard (7 1/4 “) Mylite 2s are used for silver age boards from BCW. Don’t beat yourself up over it. I tried for YEARS to get the right fit. It’s a learning process, even with bags. Here’s something to make you feel even better. Before E. Gerber made a 7 1/4 bag about 10 years ago, it was even MORE of a crapshoot to find the right bags and boards.

Also, you’re not mentally ill at all. There’s a general frustration with all of this CGC, bag, etc…. stuff. You’re just going through the growing pains of being a collector. Some positive videos of how you still like comics could off-set the negative videos you have if you’re worried about being viewed the way you are. Just trying to help. Keep your head up and know that you can still have fun collecting in our hobby if you shut out the noise!

I’m not familiar with those type of bags and boards, but I may have some via a purchase I made a few years back on eBay. I purchased some all SHOWCASE DC Comics and I noticed how the bag was unique to anything I’ve had or seen before. I quite liked it but never looked into it. I believe they initially came with multiple boards to support them as well and I recall removing them.

I might look into these type of bags and boards for select books of mine.
