Brother you do exactly what I do -- BBQ and smoke cigars. Glad I found your channel!

Can't wait to get mine. Ordered 2 weeks ago. 6 to 8 week delivery time.

Thanks for the video! question - I just got my XL and Super excited. Working on first cook now with three butts on the bottom racks at 225 degrees but 12 hours later I have one at 191 at175 and one at 150. I did put some tinfoil down to try and catch some of the grease and wondering if maybe that disturbed the airflow. Have you heard anything sounds like maybe I shouldn’t do that based on the comment you made in the video. Hoping this thing works out but not liking the current cook hoping it’s just user error. And added Studwiser to vocabulary 😁

How long did you let it build up before doing this cleaning? Mine looked like that after the first cook. 7 hour pork butt. I managed to clean it pretty easily with just dish soap and water, but it was a messy way to do it. The spray seems to work pretty well for you. I ordered some from Amazon. This grill can benefit from a spray and wipe cleaner. Bottom grates would probably clean up decent in the dishwasher. The walls were messy to clean, but you can rinse with a food sprayer and put a five gallon bucket under the drip hole.

Yeah, you may want to pick up that heat shield and see where all your ash actually is. SURPRISE!!! Don’t forget to break out the vacuum. You definitely DO still need it.

Studweiser just got added to my vocabulary.

I'm sorry but it doesn't seem to me the new drip tray design that doesn't allow for liners or even foil is an improvement. It's a messy job that you pretty much have to do after every cook and takes time and money with degreasing spray, soaking it in, scrubbing or scraping it down etc. Today with my Ironwood I just throw in a liner or a foil it and even with super messy cooks like Pork Butt (which would have been much worse than this video) you in seconds just take the liner or foil and toss it in the garbage. Now you don't even have the option. For $3500-3800 I'd want to do LESS work not more.

This is a halfway clean. You didn’t remove the heat shield and vacuum the wood dust.

I have a new Timberline XL less than two months and I having all types of trouble with the fire sensor, then the mother board and the sad thing about the situation NOBODY at Traeger seem to care. I have to wait on a area tech guy to come out base on his schedule it taken several days before anyone to come out to fix the problem. I paid too much money for this grill to be having major issues so soon. are anoybody else out there having issues with this grill for what I heard not too many people know much about this grill yet so SAD Traeger

Am I just lazy? I really don't want to do this much cleaning every long cook. My timberline 850 just requires brushing the grates with a wire brush and then vacuuming out the ash.

To much drip pan. Less smoke gets to the food. Drill some holes in it.

Maybe it's me but I don't consider it to be clean as it was left. I want it to look like new
