JEREMY Clarkson has told of his fury at Chancellor Rachel Reeves as he joins 20,000 farmers marching on Downing Street.

Farmers are furious at Treasury plans that would see a 20 per cent levy slapped on holdings valued above £1million.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Diddly Squat farm owner Jeremy, 64, said during the demonstration: “I’ve never been on a protest before and we shouldn’t be having to do it.”

Asked about the new “tractor tax” rules, he added: “I think DEFRA were pushed into it.

“I don’t think there’s a much of an appetite in DEFRA for it because they have to deal with farmers, they know how cross they are.

“I think it was the treasury. I think it was comrade Reeves."

No Farmers, No Food
Just like: No Politicians, No Problem.

I stand with our British farmers

We have a government who thinks food comes from supermarkets.

I watched his show from Canada. He started farming like so many city people do, thinking "what's the big deal". He soon realized it was beyond hard. He's now done more to spread to word that this is a profession that is essential to the future of a nation than anyone. Without farms and food security you put yourself at the mercy or others. Thank you Jeremy for your work

Too many people live in ignorant bliss of how much we need the farmers, we should be supporting them not sqeezing them out

this is disgusting there should be no inheritance tax on passing a farm over so long as it stays as a farm and no land will be sold off

We've seen governments throughout the EU relentlessly attacking farmers -now it's here in the UK, there is a bigger picture.
Government is not the solution to our problem - government is the problem. (Ronald Reagan)

3days without food will make people re think. and there is no way we could import 60% of the UK's daily consumption.

Here's an idea, instead of stomping on our necks and hurting our farmers. Maybe put a cap on MPs' wages and expenses accounts. Or maybe the make royals pay taxes on big companies on the millions of pounds they don't pay taxes now.
