I've been an attorney for 25 years; the first 13 as a prosecutor in Philadelphia. The conflict of interest is only part of the story. The kickbacks of large sums of money from an obviously unqualified attorney, who happened to be her lover and subordinate & the money for 2 grand juries (when only 1 was necessary) has earned both of them disbarment, then possibly prosecutions for the kick-back schemes.
