Union Pacific Local Past the Griswolds

UP 1025 pulls two tank cars past a pair of Griswold crossing signals on Rockport Road in Janesville, Wisconsin. These are left over from the Chicago & Northwestern days, when this was the Rockport - Afton line. It's now only a short industrial lead used to serve Evonik Industries. Most of the right-of-way beyond the Evonik plant is part of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and Peace Trail.

These signals are in excellent shape. I remember seeing them a few years ago, and they had rust all over them. UP does a great job maintaining older signals. I can't believe 1025 still has a P3. I wonder if it was its original horn from the SSW days.
