that's sad... he sounds genuinely upset and she is making a joke... money is no joke these days. i'm single and just keeping myself housed and fed (in California) is very difficult, and I have a pretty good job. most people in my state are one missed paycheck away from homelessness. sad, but true.

Its a matter of opinion. I'm a woman and find it funny, but that's because I can relate. Of course I don't buy expensive brands, but once I get my pay check I normally buy /everything/ I need or think I need at once. I still live at home but I was looking at home decor and thinking about purchasing curtains the other week.
