I had problems at first too. Kontact and Sample tank (included for free ) must be installed first and activated and updated first. Then Triple Play software is installed. Works fine for me. Frank at fishman spent almost an hour helping me get this sorted out, very good support. Yes it is cumbersome but well worth the effort. Now i can add any vst plugins and choose those sounds too.(I have already used Alchemy)

Can't hardly wait. Hoping the next iteration will allow per-string MIDI processing/filtering for transposition (custom tunings), etc.

One instrument for all 6 strings in Triple play software.When used as stand alone Midi it is 6 channels, one per string.If I sent this to my Korg Kronos, i can have the same instrument for each channel if I want.

great product! thanks for the vid..
but loading another preset takes a lot of time, that's the disadvantage from this setup..
I tried mainstage for preset switching, but that sucks cpu power like a vacuum cleaner..

Do you really have to pad six instruments for all the strings or is is possible to just load one like I do now with my rock band 3 pro guitar.

are there midi mappings per fret, like one finger press triggers cc's+patch change+transport etc?

I guess that they send notes on different midi-chanels, so you could load just one instrument and then choose "omni" to recieve every midi input. Not quite sure, if it will be beneficial for the sound/quality, clarity and tracking though

nobody promised that the Triple Play would be on sale there. You'll just have to wait like everybody else.. shipping in a few months.. that was known before NAMM. go vguitarforums to stay updated.

I have this and I can't even get and damn sounds to work. Popped open garageband and it works straightaway. Fucking terrible.
