I'm reading ToG for the first time and I finished Assassin's Blade last night. I read it after Heir of Fire and I whole heartedly agree with this route. There are so many lines and circumstances that hit so much harder when you've read the first three books.

I started with Assassin's Blade as it was more like a prequel for Throne of glass. It took me 3 days to stop my shakiness of what happened to you know who. Another few days to stop rethinking about torture. Finally my body is ready for Throne of glass. I am glad
I read Assassins blade first because it gave backstory that now I can root for Caelina. before I didnt like her almost quit series. But by the end of Assassins blade, I cant wait to see her revenge (look up trigger warning before reading Assassins blDE)

Thank you for these book videos. College ruined me and I haven't finished a fiction book in YEARS (possibly like 10). After writing down several of your recommendations, I went to my local library and snagged a few. I read "Five Survive" in less than two days! I salute your persisitence and focus. I have a real problem with finishing a series, even if I loved the earlier books. I think I partly don't want it to end, and I also fear I won't like it as much as I hope. Also, attention span issues....
