Merab didn't win because he's a better fighter, he won because Chael picked O'Malley to win

Merab kissing suga is insane, but herb saying stop, then merab getting up and suga hitting him from behind is somehow crazier.
What a weird fight.

It's amazing how Chayl manages to so passionately say absolutely nothing for ten minutes.

O’Malley looks like he steals catalytic converters.

Sean looks like the first fighter you made on the ufc career mode when you played for the first time when you are 10 years old

Merab floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee, wrestling style.

Herb technically stopped the fight due to kisses... He said stop.

Tim welsch said in latest video that they weren't expecting double legs, only singles. Have they not watched merab fight!?

Merab didn't just beat Sean. He beat the coaches and the ref straight up. Mad respect for the man. Glad he came out on top.

Chaels told us everyone that says they rewatched a fight, they never actually did it. So, he never did.

Merab mentally broke Suga… by round 3 Sean was totally uninterested

I just watched the full O'Malley V Merab fight. This is my take. Merab won round 1, 2, and 4. O'Malley won round 3, and 5. However, even though O'Malley lost he came very close to putting Merab away in round 5. You could tell that body kick severely hurt Merab and O'Malley had some shots that had they been slightly more precise I believe would have put Merab down. IDK if he was just fatigued but O'Malley completely failed to capitalize on the moment and instead of continuing to raise the tempo and apply pressure, like he needed to do to secure the KO/TKO, O'Malley hung back and let the moment pass.

While it is debatable if O'Malley won round 3 I gave it to him because he was not taken all the way down, escaped Merab's hold on 1 or 2 occasions, and stuffed 4 or 5 take down attempts. What shored it up is not only his defense but I believe O'Malley also had a slight edge in round 3's stand up exchange. I do not see any valid argument for O'Malley losing round 5 due to his defense of all takedowns (except in the last 10 seconds) and the obvious damage he inflicted on Merab.

In conclusion, although it is debatable if Merab lost round 3 his taking of rounds 1, 2, and 4 are not debatable. I gave him 3 rounds and it could be argued that Merab won 4 of the 5 rounds. I gave O'Malley 2 rounds but there is no serious debate as to whether he actually won 3 of the 5 rounds. Having clearly won the majority of rounds it is obvious Merab earned the Bantamweight Championship belt.

Am I the only one who doesn’t think O’Malley is a star?!? He’s a great striker and a good fighter for sure but he does not in any way shape or form have that “it” factor. His comparisons to Connor are a fucking joke. He comes off dry and uninteresting and sucks at interacting with the crowd. Has wearing pink clothes and having pink hair got all of you captivated or what? Again.. good fighter yes… Superstar?! Not even close.

Chael my buddy had you say whats up to me in a video from the Sphere and it made my whole year brotha. Thanks for taking time out of your day for that.

I feel we have entered an era where strikers are extremely good at shrugging off takedowns, and getting back up. Footwork alone seems to make your takedown defense go up. Sean seemed to be very good at doing those exact things. But Merab just simply overcame all of that with speed, hiding his takedowns, and monster conditioning. No matter who you are, you get it wrong sometimes.

The judges still robbed Merab even though it was unanimous decision.
