Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League Premier Division. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. If there's one fact I love about the boys is that they fight. Toby was a massive spark today - huge props for having such an important impact and always changing momentum when we looked lethargic. PK - Technical as always. Luke although missing the target creates opportunities. From a strategic standpoint, I'm interested to see the data as it pertains to HOW our goals are scored. We seem to cross the ball into the box at high rates, yet personnel wise don't have extraordinarily tall players nor an out and out ariel threat. either way. Proud off the boys.

Gonna guess the men won’t win as Spen has mentioned 3 times how poor the surface is in the first minute. 😂 when we are used to playing on a G pitch, tough to go out on grass.

Sorry we couldn’t get the boys to come to the women’s final but Canvey wouldn’t / couldn’t change the date of game to allow our guys to come and see a brilliant win ❤

I mean atleast we got something out of it, because we was not looking so good, they need to water their pitch more or something, it looks like it's been baked in the summer sun for weeks. 5:05 we've got 7 men marking 3 players yet we are leaving a man wide open for a tap in? Has to be better. I understand we do not really have a ton to play for, but we have to keep our motivation and bring something into our game. Keep up the motivation boys! Up the Tags! #💛💙

On the bright side these are wall to wall draws not defeats which says just a few tweaks are needed next season to turn them into wins.

I feel for Striz as the gk is probably the first place I’d be looking at. But it would be unfair to compare him to (I think his name is) Curd because in reality he’s probably the Hastag Utd version of when Bradford City had Jordan Pickford on loan (even then there were fans who said he will go on to play for England) and I’d expect Curd to do well in the EFL at least.

But the fortunes of this season does show the difference one player can make to a team. And the gk is a very important one. (He wasn’t even at fault for any of these from what I saw either).

Also for anyone who hasn’t followed the progress of Jermaine Francis who I’ve signed on my FM series, he scored this week for Chelmsford and I think he did last week too. Give it another season or two and Hashtag will be in the National League South. I’m confident of that and hopefully I’ll get chance to come and watch a match live.

Anyone else think the game sounded quiter today? Also Spencer not to sound disrepespectful or anything but were u alright cause u sounded a lot less enthusiastic and loud compared to normal mate.
