Super Mario Bros Movie Review: AHHHHHHHHH

This review has spoilers! The Super Mario Bros Movie is finally out! I've never really done a "movie review" before, so I tried something pretty simple for this one since I'm gonna be extremely busy this month

Personally the most amazing part is that there is not a SINGLE fart joke for the duration of the film. It really shows that Illumination can still make good movies if they're forced to by Miyamoto.

At first, I did not expect much for the movie, because of the Twitter community, but then I decided to watch it anyway, and this honestly blew my mind. I love everything in the movie, from the characters, story to the quality. If you want to watch it, you really should

Just watched it yesterday with my family and we loved it a lot. I've been a big mario fan for years and this movie was a real treat. I can't wait to see what other movies we get from Nintendo.

Loved it. my online gripe is that it was really fast paced. we were only in the jungle kingdom for a round about 10 minutes, and Mario, Toad, and Peaches "journey" was a 1 minute montage of environments that I wish were looked into more.

This movie was fantastic, and filled with easter egg galore. The light motifs were so well used, and the animation gorgeous. Even if the plot was very safe, the quality of everything put together really makes up for it. Safe doesn't mean bad either, I still found it quite enjoyable.

Also, Luigi and Toad are such great wingmen. If you watched, you know.

7:15 don’t know if anyone has said it yet and I don’t really feel like scrolling, but Bowser has used the power ups before in Super Mario 3D World where he get the cat bell. My guess on why he didn’t use the power star in the movie is the same reason why DK didn’t use the power ups until the end, it’s because Bowser felt like he was strong enough to take everyone on his own without the power star, which he was actually able to do until he lost control of the power star.

The movie was fast-paced and felt short. Which is surprising cause Super Mario Odyssey feels the same way.

Was that a marketing stunt?!

9.5/10 I just want a longer movie man. If that doesn't tell you how good the movie is, then I don't know what does. Everything was good. Words simply cannot describe this movie.

I wish they gave bowser some power ups, like the bell or the ice one maybe? I really wish they gave him the mushroom because he always turns big in Mario and I was disappointed that they didn’t do that, but it was a great movie!

I don't want to make it seem like I'm underselling the rest of the movie (cos it was absolutely fantastic), but Bowser was the best part of the film for me. Jack Black (Super) smashed it with his performance.
