If you missed Part 1

Chicken Nipple waterer

Keeping livestock in cities has been common throughout history and is still practised in many parts of the world. For example, 50,000 pigs were being kept in Manhattan in 1859. But local ordinances were created to limit this, owing to the noise and smell nuisance, and these were only relaxed in time of war when the urban populace was encouraged to provide food for themselves.[5]
Urban relief gardens played an important role in sustaining large populations of Americans during economic depressions.[6] War gardens played an important role in the nation-wide effort to help win both World War I and World War II.[6] These victory gardens made gardening a patriot activity and introduced gardening as an activity for everyone, not just those too poor to buy their own food.[7] Later, in the late 1960s and 1970s, community gardening started to make a comeback as a hobby. Organic gardening, urban animal husbandry, and community farms became popular and many cities around the country started community gardening programs for their residents.[7]

Just a thought. Putting a gutter on your overhang might help with water dripping on your nesting box.

Great videos! Do you have any construction plans available to share? I really like the design you created and would like to pattern mine after it.

nice job overall - one thing, you ran your roofing metal the wrong way, it should have been run in the same direction as your main roof, and then yes, running main roof overhang out further would have helped with run off from rain /snow. or simply putting gutter system on main roof would have carried water off main roof and away from nesting box roof. thanks for sharing your tips !

Hi, I think the camera was a great idea. Those are your babies.. Gotta make sure they are safe. I have a old camera system that needs to hooked up to a computer in order to record. If you have any idea how I could modify it for my coop please let me know. Thanks again for the video.

I love your coop! What are the dimensions for your coop?  Is it possible to get instructions to build it for myself?

Hey Ed, First just wanted to say I appreciate your efforts in putting some good, professional, chicken videos on Youtube. I am a urban homesteader from Tennessee and have just recently bartered for a nice coop and 12 beautiful Americanas. I am lacking to say the least in my knowledge of chicken raising lol. I have a question about egg production or I should say the lack there of. When we received the chickens, the previous owner had said that they were dormant. Since we have had them, about 6 weeks now, we have only harvested about 4 eggs, and that was within the first week. I have changed up their feed to an all natural crumble and added a poultry booster but still no increase in eggs. What else can I do to improve the egg production or must I just wait? Thanks in advance for your time!!!

Ed, very informative, thanks.  Question, I see how you protect the chickens with the overhead wire and tall fence along the sides.  What about snakes?  Seems like your  fence would allow a good size snake to enter?  Again, thanks.
