Hello Tony, great video my friend and I was taught on the farm that if you get the bottom of the post tight it won't go anywhere. This will help me enormously, thankyou for taking the time.

😆 Happy Gardening, Terry.

Good demo Tony and a nice recovery of footage to make the video. Cheers :)

I should have used this method when staking down my polytunnel! From now on I will save all stones.

Hi! Have you not had any issues with the posts bowing in due to the pull of the wires? We installed a system like this (4x4 posts, metal wire) a few months ago and the top wires keep losing tension, because the posts are bowing in.

Im a beginner in gardening, but with wire I know something; when you twisted it at the first screw eye, you kept one wire straight, but the other you wound around the straight. It will slip! you must twist both wires around each other. Do this by pinching both wires together, then hold them while twisting; it will hold

Great video. Would 50 cm diameter wooden posts work? Thinking of doing this in my back garden.

Hi, I'm brand new to gardening and have just put a greenhouse up for next year. My aim is to grow tomatoes. Can I ask about the shading. Do you put that on same side you have your tomatoes are opposite side to stop them burning ? or do you have to shade on both sides.

Hi Tony. What size eyes did you use? Not certain whether to use M6 or M8. Cheers Gavin.

Thanks Tony, this is exactly what I needed. Would you suggest 3 or 4 posts for a 12 meter long bed?

Hi,

Would using ground spike and 6ft x 75mm posts also work?

How many posts for a length of 25ft (just under 8m).

Thanks

Really useful video! How far apart are your posts? I'm looking to install a 160cm high trellis, with the posts 3meters apart, but not sure if that's too far apart for support/ sagging etc?

Where did you get the green wire? How thick are they?
