I am a music educator and I love to sing (good amateur level) and I get blown away by Julie Andrews' vocal pyrotechnics in this song every time. As a child, she was my magical nanny, my Mary Poppins. As a 50 yr old music teacher she is my virtuoso bar none.

These are some talented children. They're instantly great singers, they can do choreography, and they're all perfectly comfortable performing in front of people. And they learned how to put on a musical with string puppets, with no mistakes.

By chance, I saw these puppets at the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum in Mason City, Iowa. I went in there on a whim and didn't expect them to be at that place at all but it was delightful for me to find such astounding pieces of film history in my home state.
