You know what. Growing up Fil-am, I was under the impression that my culture sucks, so I did everything to mask it. I stopped talking Tagalog, I cleared up my accent, I even hesitated to admit I was Filipino at times. But times have changed, and I have begun to appreciate my culture. It's just so nice to see that some Filipinos who have the spotlight show their love for their culture. It helps people who are afraid to show their heritage like me embrace it.
