I bought the digital version of Metroid Prime Remastered because I wanted to get myself into the Metroid series for the very first time. And this game truly showed me what I was missing out on when my brothers and I had the Prime games while as a teenager. I was BLOWN AWAY with how clean and silky smooth this game looks when I started my first playthrough. I absolutely ADORE this remaster. The environment of Tallon IV is breathtaking, the dual-stick controls work like a charm, the gameplay feels smooth as silk, and the enemies and bosses look fantastic. I now get why this game is considered one of the greatest games to ever come out when it was originally released in 2002. The coat of paint this remaster was given has made it look even better. What I love the most about this game is that instead of a straight-up action hero, Samus Aran is more of an inquisitive investigator and explorer as she takes in her surroundings while exploring the biomes of Tallon IV. Metroid Prime Remastered, in my opinion, is now the definitive version of this timeless classic. This game has now made me a Metroid fan. 31 years old playing this game for the first time, but hey. Not too late to climb aboard the Metroid Prime 4 hype train. I honestly hope Prime 2 and 3 come to the Switch at some point. I will be giving Metroid Fusion a spin when it comes onto the GBA library on Thursday. Consider me a Metroid fan, thanks to Metroid Prime Remastered.

It’s like Nintendo polished an already flawless diamond and then sold it at a discount. Can’t tell if Nintendo is being nice, weird or suspicious.

Only having three energy tanks for Phazon Mines? What a mad lad.

4:23 unfortunately, the gyro function under twinstick was pretty well hidden, to the point that I thought it was absent. Somebody on Twitter had to tell me about it after I complained as such.

But now that I know it exists, I'm having an absolute blast with this game! And this is coming from someone who used to *_hate_* motion controls before they started playing Splatoon.

As a kid I was playing on my DS Lite Metroid Prime Hunters. It was my first gaming device, cause I didn't even have a pc back then and I persuaded my mom to buy me a cool looking for me no name game called Metroid Prime Hunters. And it completely swallowed me.. Without knowing English language I was enjoying it so much that when I unlocked all the weapons and finally killed the last boss I was feeling so soo satisfied.. It was my first game in my life which I completed and I will never forget. Since then I was hoping to get similar experience but I never bought another Nintendo console cause Wii wasn't my cup of tee (and I was broke kid), 3/DS variants did not appeal me and Wii U and Switch did not have anything interesting for me. But now.. Hell WAU! Finally my inner child can get on rampage again. And thanks to EggNS and gamepad with phone holder I can play it comfortably on my S23 like a charm. Just wau.. Amazing times we live in. Once I'm done with Hogwarts Legacy, it's time to explore some universe. 😇

I hope many get the chance to play it. Having played it in both in the NGC and Wii i can't justify the time but i'm glad it's receiving the recognition it deserves.

PlayStation 2 was my favorite console of that generation but I being a longtime Nintendo fan, I actually bought a Gamecube first and Metroid Prime was a big reason for it. Way back in 2002 this was something else and what's incredible is that it somehow really is even better now. Retro did a terrific job with this remaster. I played using the Switch Pro Controller with 'modern' controls and I think it just makes the game that much more fun. Playing with the joycons is cool too but I'm just better at the game when using a regular control pad for some reason. The graphical glow up was shocking, Switch has had some nice looking games but this one really delivered even on an older piece of hardware. Has me very confident about MP 4, especially if it's also on the next-gen successor.

Imagine the legend of zelda ocarina of time, twilight princess and wind waker with graphical upgrades.

I haven't played Metroid Prime in 15 years since it was the last time I ever had the GameCube, and I never played the last 2 games. I'm glad to hear this remaster is running great, it'll be like welcoming an old friend🙌

20+ years later, it’s good to see Samus back for a new generation. It is testament to the vision and skills of game devs and the revisionists that we have this. What with Dread and this; I think Metroid is now a top tier franchise that Nintendo will now know, gets the fans hyped.

Metroid dread is my first Metroid game, and prime remastered is really fun

That is a very important note for newcomers. This is still a Metroid game much like 2D ones in many ways and not your typical bog-standard FPS game :-)

Really brilliant! I bought it 2003 on release day in europe, but due to different reasons I barely played it. But I was always fascinated by the game and was not happy when I found out that my laptop was too weak to emulate it with good frames per second. Now, 20 years later, I finally played through it on normal. Then I played it again on hard and collected all the upgrades and scans to get 100% for the galery. And now I play it for the third time. Just for fun. Unbelievable great game, I love it! ^^

Will be interesting to hear from players who've played Doom 2016 before Metroid what they think about Prime. Doom 2016 copied a lot of homework.

One of the most perfect, most amazing games ever made. On the Cube this was amazing. I now get to play it all over again with a fresh coat of paint. Stunning in every way!

I happen to play Prime on my GC about a year ago and couldnt take more than 15 minutes. The controls make it unplayable these days in my view.
"I would buy a remake of this if all they did is add a twin stick controls", and that is what I did. Even better, they remade everything!
Amazing work and this is coming from something who almost always hates remakes.

8:57 Chozo Relic Hunt. A flaw shared by all three of the Prime Trilogy and indeed many games of the Gamecube era. Doing something to make it less annoying might have been nice, but it's still an under-ripe berry on a delicious three-course meal.

It is satisfying seeing all the raving this game is getting. When I was younger it seemed like I was the only person who actually cared about the game. Nobody talked about it, nobody cared for it. I almost felt odd for loving the game so much. Now reports are 100% unanimous. I've not heard one single complaint about the game since the remaster, and everybody is talking about it as having the potential to be the best game of the year. -That's my childhood game that nobody loved receiving all the love now twenty years later!

I love how you can see. The original was so dark, I couldn't play it. The remaster is wonderful! Thank you Nintendo
