NGC is launching a new grading service called NGCX, where they have a grading scale of 1 to 10 instead of 1 to 70. This is only going to be used on Modern coins, and not vintage coins. Watch the video to learn more!

The new service is limited to choice dealers in what I can only theorize is their idea of a test market. It is unclear why they would omit this detail from the promo.

Though easy to imagine this splitting the 1982-current market into two. Growth and confusion.. looking forward to it.

Can you please tell me what the marks are on coins that have lines in them? I have alot of coins with those marks or strikes.

with the 70 point scale, and no decimals, you only have 70 grades possible. with 10 point scale, and with decimals, you have 100 grades possible. much finer gradation.

I think coin grading has become so much of a problem they can take the grader out of whole system, AI tech can be the way to go, give the grading job to a computer not the over paid graders, its time to do away with the human element
the computer AI system would be the best way to advance the coin collecting
