heavy gun system may have been designed and placed in service back in the 50's....but your looking at the M-109 A6, which came out in 1993 and has MANY upgrades to the original. It still packs a huge punch, and deals out some seriously accurate 155mm PAIN to the enemy....and its self propelled for fire and depart maneuvering...dont hate on the old girl....she's helping Ukraine 🇺🇦 quite a bit. The US still uses the A7 model with even more upgrades.

The paladin’s biggest sleeve ace, is that it can also engage armoured vehicles directly if within sight range. The massive 155mm releases an extremely intense overpressure wave, that can disable most armoured vehicles in a single hit. The Paladin was essentially an SPG-Tank hybrid

Only more accurate further shoots, counting well. Computer is ok, but human can count that also same. Seen those guys runing to arty if they where far and counting same time crazy. Yes human will get same result
