Shedding becomes easier if temperature and humidity are perfect in your enclosure.
I only ever had to massage my snakes tail after shedding. It occasionally left a bit of skin on the tip of the tail but mostly shed perfectly.

When snakes shed in the wild, they catch the shed on a rough rock or tree bark or similar, and then gradually pull itself out of it, the dude's hand in this case is just a better version of that. Additionally, that looks like a mangrove snake. If the snake didnt want that happening, it would let the guy know via "putting multiple holes in his arm."

What a handsome noodle. For first-time snake owners, keeping the humidity up in your tank makes it easier for it to shed in one piece naturally, but if he's struggling, set up a bath using a clean high-walled bin, very shallow water, and a couple rough rocks to rub against. A bath can also help with the snake's digestion.

I am confused sorry, you said to not help them exept if they have excessive skin over they’re eyes and nose, but you helped them through the whole shedding. I’m guessing I’m missing somthing haha
