Using the Samsung S22 in 2024! - A Real Day in the Life

The Samsung S22 has now been out for 2 years, lowering its value price to the point where it's comparable to new mid-range phones such as the Samsung A55. In this day in the life, I test out the performance, display, cameras and battery life to see if it's a better alternative to today's mid-range phones!

Note:
I only had access to the LDU version of the S22, which means I was primarily on WIFI throughout the day, however, research has proven the difference between WIFI and Cellular is negligible.

Battery is always the S22's weakest feat, considering it has 3700mah but if you have a secondary phone or not much of a heavy user, it still packs quite a punch

My current phone at the moment and you are absolutely on point on the battery life being quite poor and after more than 2 years owning it, it gets even worse.

Love the form factor it offers though which not many manufacturers go for anymore, like the A55 feels really huge and not comfortable to use one-handed. Might just go for the next normal iphone or pro model as it retains quite a similar footprint to what is considered small phones by today's standards.

Been using the s22 for almost an year now, my only and only complain is the battery life 4 h 30 m of screen on time on an average with 85% battery with all basic battery saving features on, which can do if you re not a phone addict like me.The phone does heats up on any heavy task but that rarely affects the performance on the phone so not really an issue(not for gamers).And if you re wondering if the camera is better on iphone 13, i have personally compared both the phones, the quality difference is minimal with s22 being better as it has the telephoto lens which changes the game, sharper 3x videos, photos.You may argue the color science to be better on 13 but thats it and u can always shoot raw on samsung and post edit and the amount of flexibility : pro video mode, potrait depth adj in video and dozens of modes just makes it the better option for camera specifically.

I have Snapdragon version, if turning on Battery saver and off some feature it last until evening, in default mode it needs to charge 2 times a day, my SOT is around 6 hrs a day, I use only social media and shopping and camera app daily no games

Bro update your phone to One UI 6.1. The battery and performance is better after the update. From now on pls try to update the devices to the latest version before the review. Just so you can give an accurate idea about the device in current times

I've found a refurbished deal on the S22, so am upgrading from my A52s after 2 and a half years. Been getting way too slow, laggy lately, and battery has suffered too. Whilst A series are good value, definitely not built to be longer term devices compared to the flagships.

I found it at 100 less than the A55 so I had to get it, th3 phone is small anyway to Ill carry one of those small powerbanks as a keychain or in my pocket and those are usually like 3 to 5k mAh wich doubles to battery

I have got it for 900 romanian, which is about 200 usd with a small crack on the display which is practically invisible on a normal angle. Got it a few months ago, holds up great and i recommend it

find a way to at least equalize the volume of you speaking and the music you are putting in between the change of scene. The music is too loud at the volume you are speaking audibly.
