HO Scale Layout Tour: The Alegheny Secondary

This layout was created by the great model railroader Darius Chagnon. He was a Pennsylvania Railroad fan and his passion for the history, research and operations are shown in his work on this maginificent layout.
He was a talented scratchbuilder, designer and writer. He has written articles for Model Railroader Magazine.
The layout is based off the Allegheny Branch with some model licensing in between. The layout was housed in a 30' x 30' room. The layout had 4 levels with a helix. Upper staging, two layout levels and then lower staging. His layout features the best of the best locomotives and rolling stock.
This layout was his ultimate masterpiece until his passing in August 2022. His memory lives on as the collection is preserved on my layout the Penn-Reading Industrial Division.
