Dear Mama is beautiful and guess what if he wanted to be in Tupac life more he could’ve been period. His dad did try and get money from Pac estate and he lost in court Afeni got it so he probably salty about that but the documentary is beautiful ❤

I love the Dear Mama series it was a very interesting and there was somethings that i didn't know and it shocked me but all together i feel that it was a very great tribute to Tupac and his mother and it was amazing if Tupac father did not want to be in the series he did not have to and if he really cared about Tupac he would had made an effort to be in his life just like he says in the Dear Mama song listen to the lyrics but know he wants to.make himself known where were u when Tupac needed his father

Tupac grew up being lied to by his mum, about his dad. Single mothers be like that, disgraceful parenting

I never understand how he was good enough to become impregnated by but not good enough to raise his own children just because he don't want you no more.Children aren't weapons or pawns and they shouldn't be used as such.

I would not say my child's father is dead. That's cold. However, I don't believe Billy Garland. He should have been there for his son and not showed up later in his life when he became famous. Too many black fathers back then abandoned their children when they fell on hard times themselves, but maybe two incomes together would have helped everyone. So many leave the burden on the mothers. Granted, Afeni's addiction didn't help matters either. Poor Tupac, like his lyrics stated, he had the world 🌎 on his shoulders. His family and community. May he continue to rest.

Billy Garland sued Tupac estate for half after his death. I remember Omar Epps talking about him and Pac bonded over having absent biological fathers. In Omar book his father came around when he was in Juice and tried to build a relationship with him. But beforehand Omar remember his mother working for board of education and being a principal and how when he would walk home when his mom was working late, he would run into Muslims because his father was Muslim they would say he looked like his father and one day somebody took him to his father as a teenager and his father didn't receive him well. But after Juice came out his father came looking for him. Billy Garland was a black panther and unfortunately let me say that world is small just like the Muslim world and everybody close knit. Ain't no way per Afeni sister Gloria, everybody else was able to find Afeni and Pac by going to the Panthers especially when Afeni went through her drug issues but somehow Billy Garland who is an ex Panther couldn't find her and his son until he saw Juice but his words not mine his friend told him he saw the movie therefore it would mean he knew Tupac name and he knew Afeni too.

People want to discredit Afeni and what she went through raising Pac and sister but give Billy a pass when he came around after Pac blew up. Where was he when Pac was in the school of fine arts, living the projects and living with an mother who was also part of the panther and if you watch his interviews he actually admits he was on drugs really bad and was unable to maintain a relationship with Tupac. Everybody know how drug addicts disappear and pop up. More than likely he was on and off drugs untill he saw his son on the big screen with some money and now he want to be a father just like Omar Epps father did him. 😢

I loved the series. It showed me, as a 73 year old, another side of Tupac. I always saw the hyped up side of him on the news. I never knew he had so much love for Black people. I never heard of the "Black Panther" side of Tupac. I was mesmerized by the series. If only there were more like-minded people in our neighborhoods. Pac's words have come full circle. "The babies are gonna hate the ladies that had the babies." I don't know the correct lyrics, but the young men of today hate their counterparts. They want Becky with the good hair so their baby won't be nappy headed or dark skinned! The ones with money marry white women. They try to put it on "Our drama." But, that's not it. This new generation hates looking at themselves. We really need Tupac today. It's a travesty that that young man was taken way too soon!
We need Pac
