Doohickeys (lol I haven't heard that word in over 35 years)

Worth noting that METAL 3D PRINTING is very difficult in space, as it is anywhere else, the astronauts on the ISS have been using regular 3D printers for a long time, since 2014.

They took 3d printing to the next level

Many friends are often finding severe safety issues on the ISS. So I invented this device. (the design is very human!) To use it, we just have to take microgravity into account and active the switch. Very easy to use!

I sure love 3D printing metal Doohickeys in space!

Honestly i would have just spun the whole setup to the point centrifugal force would act like gravity for the printer.

Soon enough they'll start 3D printing the space stations. That'll be rad.

You can, however, fix it with duct tape. Just ask Apollo 13

Can they realy send them home? And why not the astronauts? 😆

Wait they don’t have a slowsigite field generator on the space station yet?

They 3d printed tools in but they still had to send the tolls back down for quality inspection before they could use them???

I wonder why they can't just hook the printer up to a gyroscope that rotatest in the same direction as the station

free 3D printers? 1 sec lemme go becomme an astronaut

No gravity should do wonders for printing bridges.
And a 6 axis printer should be possible.

They really got the fabricator in real life now

Next we gotta figure out how to effectively mine and process asteroids.

3D printing and spaces easy in fact it's easier than 3D printing on Earth what you meant to say is metal 3D printing is harder in space that might be the case I don't know enough about metal 3D printing however traditional plastic 3D printing works even better in space The only problem you might have is heat dissipation since you won't have convection that requires gravity but that's easily handled the same way as handling CO2 forming around your face in space you install a fan

Pardon? We don't really have gravity fed features on FDM printers. They also work upside down or on their side. Only thing you have to be aware of is that bottom roller spool holders don't work, you want cone span ones.

Powder and liquud based mathods are trouble though.

What are you talking about? They had a bog standard FDM printer on the ISS since like 2010... FDM printing in space is EASIER than on earth as you dont have to worry about gravity in your overhangs. Your channel is pure dunning-kreuger pop sci slop! Sure some kinds of printing is harder like SLS with powder
