So I thought—why not make a little video to share an update? In this one, I’ll tell you how my leg is healing and give you a glimpse into what an ordinary (and a bit magical) day in Hangzhou looks like for us.

Hangzhou is my favorite city in China. It happened to me to be at hospital in Hangzhou last week due to a pretty hard rear-end collision on highway caused by a truck when we were on our way back home (Shanghai). Despite the horrible accident, we were truly amazed with what happened afterwards. In seconds the police was there to clear the highway, like always we as foreigners received special treatment from everyone around. Hospital was super efficient as you said and the police took their time to make us understand how the reporting part worked. We received extra help in every single step (we do not speak Chinese so everyone needed to communicate with us through apps). A man whose wife had been badly injured in another car took us back to the city and when they came to know we weren’t able to find a taxi, they arranged a friend to drive us to Shanghai at much less normal taxi fare. I cannot stop thinking about how wonderful the people were and we have got used to seeing such behavior everywhere we go in China. Very rich culture when it comes to how to handle guests, never felt home in other countries I’ve lived in, as in China.
Well, I actually wanted to thank you for sharing yet another interesting story, but I ended up sharing my own story 😊

To heal a broken bone, it takes about 3-6 months, you’ll need vitamin D3 and calcium to rebuild & strengthen not only for the broken part but also allow new bones to grow to reinforce that portion of your lower leg bones. Sincerely wishing you speedy recovery and good health, jiao you! 💪🌺
