I'll repeat it again for all in denial: both Messi and CR7 were absolute freaks of nature and "once in a lifetime" geniuses. The universe simply glitched out by giving us TWO at the SAME TIME. We were most definitely only meant to have ONE. Still, they're so different to everybody else we've seen around their generation. They are made from the same cloth as Pelé and Maradona. Prodigies like them simply do NOT spawn frequently. Again, as I stated above, the universe simply glitched.

Anyway, absolutely NOBODY amongst the modern generation comes close to the raw talent of Leo and Cristiano. Yes, there are remarkable talents like Mbappé, Wirtz, Lamine or Musiala, but they still only possess a fraction of the 2 kings. People NEED to accept that it simply isn't common for GOAT-tier footballers to be born. In all of the sport's LONG history, we've only seen a handful of those type of players. "High tier" players are much more common, and that's all we'll get for some time. Mbappé is the best of the modern era, yet he's "only" around Henry's level. Yes, great, but below GOAT.
When will we get to see a new mutant player like Messi and CR7? Not in the near future, that's for sure. For all we know, he's still inside the balls of one of us 😂. In the meantime, let us appreciate that we witnessed the PEAK era, and that we can watch absolutely historic footage like this.
