I do hope that the producer's have videos of Guy racing in the TT just to show them that he's not just some idiot. He amongst others are a special breed that only those few could ever do. Compared to Guy operating a crane is nothing.

Reality is that the guy that slings a load is more qualified than the crane operator. I ran a traveling crane for years and also did slinging. It's not complicated.
Ridden the TT mountain course and it's not difficult until you try it at speed.
Guy Martin. Epic.

Guy, master a crane? Good lord, the chap got flying a hurricane/spitfire down after a couple of hours. He’ll have a crane cracked by breakfast!! What you need to do to test Guy is to get him working on someone’s brain (I’ll volunteer gladly) or a gre’t rocket or summats. A crane? Pah!!! Good on you though Guy, not seen much of you for ages, hope you got stuck in and enjoyed yourself mate.
