Some people prefer deployant buckles because they simulate wearing a Watch bracelet and you can prolong the lifespan of your leather watch strap.

I love and hate this deployant buckle. Love it because this buckle gives an elegant look for its signature Cartier sign in your strap and a seamless-look strap when you fold the buckle. And also hate it because this kind of buckle needs a very specific and custom strap which have to be elastic and thin enough to be fold

I just brought a cartier santos 100 leather strap with diamonds for 120 UK pounds thinking it was a replica..when I received my watch and after taking a good look at it I was certain it wasn't a replica..I took it to 3 jewellery shops and to my surprise it was genuine..I contacted the elderly gentleman who I brought it from and he told me that he hasn't got long left and he wanted to treat someone...got it insured and the shops valued it at 4200. I'm getting evicted after losing my job snd in arrears...I just can't sell it absolutely mint lovely timepiece

deployant means deployable/deploying. unfold would be 'déplier'

The worst design for a clasp. It will ruin your clothing if not careful. Those hooks are fabric destroyers.
