Company of Heroes - is it Worth Playing?

Company of Heroes is an 18 year old game at this point but being on sale for 70% off on Steam I had to grab it. This is an RTS I have never actually played before, I've heard a lot about the series and I've played similar strategy games but this is my entry into the franchise and I thought while I'm at it I might as well let you guys know if I think it's worth playing or not.

I've been gaming since the age of 3 and ended up making it my career, that is how I came up with the name Born 2 Game. I am a gamer that loves playing all types of games from shooting and racing games to strategy and simulation.

I got this game when it came out back in the day. Unfortunately, I ran into technical issues and wasn’t able to enjoy the game for long. Can’t remember what the issue was, but it prohibited me from playing the game. I became fed up with the quirks of PC gaming and reverted back to consoles. However, what little I did experience of CoH was excellent.

Another great WWII game is Hell Let Loose. It’s a FPS on the surface but an RTS at its core. I refer to it as Call of Duty for adults. There’s a learning curve but it’s well worth checking out for anyone who appreciates WWII games.

I played a lot of rts game through my childhood, like command and conquer red alert and generals, starcraft 1 and 2, age of empires. Played this when I was in high school. What I liked and unique about this game was the cover mechanics, you can pick up guns and bazookas, the vehicles can be ride if the driver is dead also the weak points of tanks and infantries they also get pinned if there are machine guns firing at them. Such a cool game it's just sadden me that rts are getting unpopular and also the greedy companies, I'M LOOKING AT YOU EA!

This game is a true gem played it tons of hours on the Company of Heroes 3 front the Devs have done a real nice job patching it an adding stuff but on release it was a joke but its much better an they are continue supporting it.

The best game of the series, no questions asked! The amount and quality of the content is superb and sadly, I think that we are unlikely to relieve such games. From time to time I go and replay the campaigns, you should have mentioned a bit more for the 2 DLCs :)

Btw have you heard about Isonzo? It is a MP shooter that stands out from the rest, it covers a niche market yet what its developers are doing is unheard of. They are releasing content update/dlcs for free for 2 years already, I wish more company were like this and not just oriented towards cash grabs.
