Dragon Ball Daima's first episode is out and it just explained for us the mystery around 40 years ago. Back in the days King Piccolo was named as the great demon lord, and later on we got the explanation that he is actually a Namekian. But we don’t have any explanation on why he is the called “Demon” in the first place, until recently when we was introduced to Neva, an ancient Namekian who lived who thousands of years in the demon realm, so we know that the Namakian has been living there, and possibly King Piccolo as well. This somewhat explains why people mistaken him for Demon King, since he’s super duper evil. Or people just being Racist.

This character has his own history of a Namekian who created the Dragon Balls, unfortunately he had to first get rid of his inner evil to become the Creator and Lord of the Second Tower.
