Hi talked to olaplex directly and it’s a prewash you just wet your hair towel dry it and apply damp. Leaving on past 30 minutes is just for you because nothing is happening past 30 minutes. I normally do it in the morning then go for a walk and when I get home wash.

just as a lil tip, never listen to people saying x product made their hair fall out, products CANNOT make ur hair fall out unless you are allergic or theres something else wrong in which u need to see a trichologist

Try K18! Shampoo, don't condition, towel dry, use 2-3 pumps, rub your hands until it thickens and turns white and work it through your hair with your fingers. Let it sit 4min and then apply any other products (if you use any) and style as usual. It's expensive but a little really does go a long way. Start with one pump and use more as needed, you don't have to super saturate your hair, it just needs to be distributed throughout. As a stylist I can vouch that that stuff is amazing. I do have the full system though but the mask itself should still help a ton.

The right way to do it is this: First you'll wash your hair with a shampoo, because of built up of hair sprays, oils ect...Then you'll damp your hair with a towel, and apply Olaplex 3 on damp hair. You'll leave it anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. I leave it on for 30 min. After that, you'll rinse Olaplex, shampoo your hair again and condition it as usual.

When I first started using olaplex 3, I would put it on my hair just before bed, cover it up, and then sleep with when the stuff bryce, it's kind of crunchy. And I can easily imagine it causing serious breakage if you do that.
I heard from one Beauty chemist "Labmuffin, " that if you leave-in Hair conditioner, beauty oils, or anything like that, then wash your hair before using olaplex 3. Leave it on four about 10 or so minutes before rinsing it out. Then use conditioner after that. No real need to wash it again.
I don't think olaplex 3 is going to make a huge difference the first time you use it. What it does is it makes your hair stronger so there will be less breakage, as long as you don't let it dry in your hair. So it will take time before you can really see the difference.

I leave it on overnight. I wrap my hair in a tshirt and wash it out in the morning. You need it in more than 10 min.

I apply my N⁰3 after spraying my hair down with N⁰0. Your hair doesn't need to be dry for it to work.

As a hairstylist I wash and condition then put it on wet as a leave in or sleep with it in then rinse out the next day!

You apply it on damp hair not dry. So you wash, no conditioner and No3. Then you rinse wash and condition and put on the blow dry mist

FR, I once woke up with bed head sprayed minimal water in my hair to dampen it before using it.

❤It still works!!! Just in case anyone wants to skip a step.

Well, it’s not going on to clean “dry” hair if it’s meant to be used on damp towel-dried hair as the instructions say and as you did in your vid. Your end application was great though ❤

You don’t have to wash it before using it. It’s not a hair mask, it’s just a treatment.

Try keeping it overnight and then shampooing.... It works wonders... Tried and tested.

You usually have to use Olaplex Number 0 to first spray it on dry hair. Wait 5-10 minutes then apply the number 3, then wait 10 minutes before you wash your hair and condition. Supposedly it creates bonds in the hair shaft to make your hair better. I find it also helps to keep my hair coloring longer.

Opalex is such a lifesaver…
But yo, your hair will fall out.

If you can already feel the waxiness, you’re a SINGLE; dye, chemical tx or hot tool away, from { Feathering. Snapping off, every second, your hair is wet is a liability. Because it’s not strong enough to even hold its own weight while it’s wet., Clumps fall out just from a single hair clip, and the most common in horrific thing is when it melts together. Because it is SO FRIED. it’s honestly less horrific if you use a hot tool and your hair, just sort of falls off… Then when it actually melts together.
And as someone who lived in Hollywood, I have to just point-blank warn you; since you’re “a fellow Californian” That extremely hot weather, like getting sunburn on your scalp, can damage your hair, the same as a hot tool when your hair is THAT WRECKED.

—ewwwe it’s so unfair🥺 it doesn’t just break off all at once it’s patchy… Which means it grows back patchy it’s such a nightmare—

Once it starts, it doesn’t stop. You could pay thousands of dollars for a treatment, but the only one that works is to get everything removed and hair implants. You’ll have to shave it all off —since by then even your scalp/roots are fucked.
[Once it gets fried at that point every single vitamin your body produces in order to grow healthier has long since been extinguished😬]
~ OBVIOUSLY vitamins, help. Leaving your hair alone helps, getting trims Helps, getting positive restorative treatments help. If you’re able to grow your hair out long enough to where you can cut it and have somewhat healthy leftover from your “roots ~ it will have most likely split and feathered beyond just the ends at that point, and through the entire follicle of your hair. Making saving that strand impossible. Meaning, if you have a single strand, like that, there is likely going to be thousands more. and periodic breakage would’ve already occurred all throughout your hair💀💀💀
If it hasn’t started to feather or break already, I would leave it TF alone if you don’t want to shave it and start from scratch.

As a cosmetologist.

And as someone who has done the exact same thing… With over dying my hair. {(when I was younger and dumber. Even after doing the shave and regrow and treating it healthier, my hair is never been the same. Never absorbed hair dye the same, is still extremely unhealthy, and I didn’t know back then that it was just because I completely ruined my follicles in the growing process, <just like when people do drugs or having disorders, they destroy their digestive system in the way it should naturally work or their brain chemistry in the way that should naturally work.>

Instead of getting wigs for shoots, especially cosplay shoots, I was actually dying, my hair luminescent, white to black to pastel pink to navy blue, etc. and had to shave it🤦‍♀️
And pretend like I was trying to pull off some mohawk phase.
It was fucking tragic)
