I agree completely about the size of the writing on the toiletries. I've gotten to the age where I need to bring my reading glasses in the shower!

So lovely! Two rooms, you would feel SO pampered. I’d have breakfast in that beautiful suite very morning! How much fun is that! Oh and a balcony to go outside on!
Will they steam your clothes (Tux) for you? Or do you need to attend to your own wardrobe?
A BATHTUB. such divine luxury 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

My wife and I have an Explorer suite booked on the new Mars ship to Norway next summer. We chose the suite in the rear of the ship because it does have a full wrap around balcony. We had this same cruise booked in 2020 and again this year in a cabin, but when they were both cancelled, used Vikings 125% bonus to upgrade essentially for free.

We have booked for this cabin next year. Thanks for the video. I don't know about home away from home, as told, as it looks a bit like the hospital room my dad is in at the moment only with less personality. We have 23 days in this cabin and I am thinking I will have to buy a whole stack of cushions, rugs and pictures to try and make this a bit more warm and homely. Whoops, what have we done booking this before seeing first.

The reason the mirror is so high off the ground...it is usually occupied by Vikings

For a cruise with a lot of sea days a suite with a full separate sitting area becomes a must. Of course a long cruise like that is also the most expensive...

We have cruised Viking Ocean cruises from the start. It is a value experience. It is expensive but worth the price. Never too crowded since capacity is 930 passengers. Manfredi restaurant is a great experience. We live Viking. Happy cruising.

It looked like the "fake" balconies had blackout curtains. Did they ask you (or require you) to have them closed at night to avoid excessive light going out forward? (That light tends to impair safe nighttime visibility and navigation from the bridge.)
We were required to close our front drapes at night on a Carnival ship precisely for that reason. On the plus side, with near-complete darkness out on the "secret" decks forward, we were able to see the Milky Way arched across the sky for the first time in many years; it was glorious.

We usually do the deluxe veranda on Viking although we do have a penthouse veranda booked for our 2023 Viking Baltic cruise. It was originally a deluxe veranda, but, we had two other Viking cruises cancelled so we just applied the FCC to an upgrade. I doubt very much that I would book a suite as it is quite a bit more expensive than a deluxe veranda and Viking is fairly expensive as it is. Great tour of the suite, though, very enjoyable.

The issue always is do you want to cruise for a week at this price or two weeks in an average balcony - or three weeks in an indoor cabin

We are trying a suite in November. We send time in our cabin and think it just may be worth it for us.

I would cry if I'd spent all that money and found out that I didn't have outside access from all of those 'balconies'.

How can you stay so slim with all the wonderful food on all the cruises you go on? You must be very disciplined

Wish I could afford it at least once. The location, balcony, window and bathroom are reasons enough to do it 😊

We found that a second en suite bathroom was quite nice to have. That was in a Seabourn owners suite. It was $1, 000 a day… PER PERSON! Which was still half price of the printed fare! We loved the suite so much, we barely explored the ship at all. Oops. I’ll probably never be able to afford cruising, at this, or any level, again (now I have kids, and on disability)…so I’m glad I went lux one time.

Good review, Gary. I’ve always found it odd that the bigger suites are usually located atop on the stern or the aft, often places where you would probably get the most motion for your dollar, especially in rougher seas.
