Όπως αναφέρει η ελληνική ειδησεογραφική ιστοσελίδα Πρώτο θέμα, η εκπρόσωπος Τύπου του τουρκικού υπουργείου Άμυνας, Σεμπνέμ Ακτόπ, κατά τη διάρκεια της σημερινής ενημέρωσης προς τα μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης, σε μία προσπάθεια διαστρέβλωσης των πραγματικών γεγονότων και της αλήθειας, κατηγόρησε την Ελλάδα για την υπάρχουσα ένταση στις Ελληνοτουρκικές σχέσεις, λέγοντας ότι:
«H Ελλάδα με ασκήσεις, παρενοχλήσεις, παραβιάσεις και προκλητικές δηλώσεις κλιμακώνει την ένταση».
