A little sunday road trip into the southern inlands to try to find Háifoss, "The high fall", Iceland's fourth tallest waterfall at a hight of 122 meters (~360 feet). A drvie into Þjórsárdalur valley, and checking out some hydroelectric power plant structures along the way.

Wind turbines appears to be the technical term, but here in the Midwest everyone still calls them Windmills and they are located in Windmill farms. Great shots of the landscape Ivar.

Talk fyrir! Love these videos. Visited the waterfall in September 2021 in a Daicia Duster. It is definitely a bumpy ride but doable.

Alongside Dyjandi Waterfall, Haifoss is my equal favourite Waterfall that I have visited in Iceland 🇮🇸 With the view of the Valley plus another excellent Waterfall Granni next to it, it’s a wonderful area. It’s a shame you didn’t hike to the valley below as the view is even more spectacular. There are another couple of wonderful sights in the area which I’d highly recommend to people. Gjain is only a couple of kms further on, which is a beautiful oasis of small waterfalls, streams, rock formations etc. Also Hjalparfoss waterfall which would’ve been on your route back. Surprised you didn’t go there. Anyway great vlog 👍

I and other tourists were unable to find the correct road to Haifoss since it was not signed. We were very disappointed.

I have a question as I planning to come to Haifoss in my upcoming trip. Any suggestions when getting here in March? I tried in November 2023 but I had to go back halfway due to a huge pothole.
