APM 2.5 (3.0.1 rc-2) Alt hold Test - Fail

just trying to get alt hold to work, (without reading ahead in the wordpress manual)

It failed because I was not stable at the altitude before changing to alt hold
simple mode was also on (i think it caused issues)
but in haste 1 and 2 outputs were reversed

"Adjust the THR_MID parameter in Mission Planner's Adv Parameter List to allow the copter to hover at throttle stick center." was not setup yet either
