Hello and welcome to Itenert, this video show the Top 10 Senior High School (SHS) in Ashanti region of Ghana base on WASSCE 2020/2021. The education misnister Hon. Yaw Adutwum presented citation to twelve performing school in the region. "On Monday, 31st May 2021, I had the opportunity to present citations to 12 Senior High Schools in the Ashanti region for excelling in the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
The citations went to the 10 % out of the 135 SHS in the Ashanti region who scored the highest marks cumulatively in eight subjects from A1 to C6.
The presentation which took place at the Golden Beam Hotel was aimed at motivating the schools to continue working hard to improve their f...ortunes and the development of the nation’s human manpower resources.
In attendance were the Ashanti Regional director of education, Madam Mary Owusu Afriyie, Heads of beneficiary SHS, Managers of Education Units, some teachers, students, and other stakeholders in the education sector.
Currently, the top-performing school in the Ashanti region per the criteria is Tepa SHS followed by Saint Louis, Toase SHS, Kumasi High, Ghana Muslim Mission SHS, and Prempeh College.
The rest who were all decorated at the ceremony are Kumasi Wesley Girls, TI Amass, Opoku Ware School, Pentecost SHS, Mankranso SHS, and Osei Adutwum SHS.
