Don't overlook Harbor Freight for gardening stuff. Just last month, I got 3 pairs of nitrile dipped garden gloves for $4. ($1.33 each) They also have garden tools of all sorts: manual tools, electric tools & battery/cordless tools. They have water hoses & the fittings for water hoses, water pumps, backpack sprayers, propane torches, grow lights, garden & pathway lighting, etc. (Much of the lighting is solar) There's a lot of useful garden 'stuff' at Harbor Freight.

I planted a packet of $Tree long slim Cayenne pepper seeds last year. I only planted 4 seeds, and 3 came up and yielded a very nice crop! I strung them and let them dry, and they'll be used for fire cider and infusing oil for a muscle rub.

Great gardening haul! I got 10 pkgs. Valley Greene heirloom seeds at our Menards for 10/1.00. I was thrilled. I have a ton of different seeds I’ve bought and seeds I’ve saved! Getting ready to start seeds in my aero garden then move to grow lights, then when their big they go in my covered hot house outside. Last year end of March I have 8 tomato and green peppers outside under the covered hot house and it was 85-100 degrees inside end of April. This is Northern Indiana!

Im glad the have zucchini. Ive never eaten it. But i read you can make flour with it. Those sugar baby seeds are great

Nice selection of vegetable seeds. I love to grow from seed and many seed companies now charge high prices for fewer seeds. Don’t forget the flower seeds, brings in the pollinators and provides a little beauty.

If you want to try, Winter Sowing, start with onions. You can sow them densely. They separate super easily in the spring for planting.

a close neighbor to ME, here in NH, and I will soon start seeds inside. Last year I learned one can sometimes start too early, yet on the good days, I will be in the greenhouses to tidy up as well as start some seeds indoors.

Great haul!! And yes, one does not need tons of seeds for some produce, as a result of how much they produce.

You can dehydrate extra zucchini. Powdered dry zucchini can replace up to 1/3 of flour in baked goods. Also, to replace the breadcrumbs in meatloaf, thicken soups, and sneaking in nutrition elsewhere.

I just watched a video from “gardening in cold spring harbor “ that had a great video explaining the difference between 4 types of seeds. Recently she did one on when to know you are ready to plant. I don’t have a garden but she is a wealth of gardening information.
