She is the world's foremost expert on marriage, sexuality and divorce from an evolutionary point of view, for which she has researched 58 societies around the globe throughout her career. She is also one of the most prestigious anthropologists in the United States and author of the essays 'Why We Love', 'Anatomy of Love' and 'The Science of Love', among others.
