How to Introduce Dogs & Cats SAFELY 🐱🐶 What to AVOID

Introducing dogs and cats can be dangerous if rushed or done incorrectly, so I share how I introduce my cat to new dogs.

We adopted a kitten a few months back. I just adopted a 10 w.o. pup yesterday. They'll be in the same house for the first time tomorrow- wish me luck!

My wife and I watched this when we had 1 cat and were bringing in a dog into the home. We're now rewatching it as we bring in a new dog into our home of 1 dog and 2 cats. I can't express how true this video is and how much you can persevere!! We made plenty of mistakes and things still worked out. The thing that helped us the most is adopting dogs that are good with cats and dogs and also have already had some training. I can't believe it but I'm a crazy pet parent now 😂 I never thought we would have more than 2 pets.

My youngest just got a new kitten and our German/Husky mix immediately wanted to eat it! I had no idea what I was doing so we just separated them after the 'introduction'. Rachel, this video was a breath of fresh air. We; Papi, Lily (My two rescued dogs) and I just adopted a highly stressed older cat from a friend who passed and introducing them has been incredibly stressful for all of us. I have faith they will become besties eventually, but honestly felt overwhelmed seeing the dogs inquisitive behavior and her stress and shyness. Before we got our puppy we researched a lot as we have a soon 7 year old cat who is not used to dogs. Your video was so informative! We followed your instructions and everything went very well.
