It's not that one version or the other has more emotion- no, in my opinion, both of them show different emotions. The original is very intense, very rock and roll- the emotion is there, but a lot of people miss it since it's the kind of song for belting out at karaoke night.

This cover version (my personal favorite) took the original and slowed it down, created beautiful instrumentals to accompany the singer's voice. You can really focus on how sad and beautiful the lyrics are. My favorite part of any Sleeping At Last song or cover is their background music- so much emotion is conveyed through that alone, it's as if the instruments themselves are crying out.
