When the director mentioned how there were only 8 actors in the prison and the rest were the prisoners I really was shocked they really tried to do step out boundaries for this film wow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This movie is one of the best movies ever made in history. Doesn't matter if it didnt top the box office or get as much recognition. Everything about this movie is real and it's amazing how good it came out. The acting is so genuine like deadass. Usually in older movies or any movies that have story lines like these you can see certain flaws that make it apart from real life but man these actors played their roles so fucken well and the emotions showed. Some of them actually lived it too so that made it more genuine. It's also a very different perspective when you did grow up in LA and actually lived around this environment and lifestyle. It's a film that just will never get old it's almost like reliving my life in a way makes it more meaningful to watch

One of the greatest motion pictures in the history of film…. any genre. Crazy it will turn 30 next year. I’d love to see this movie honored with a 30 yr anniversary limited theatrical release. I’d take a few friends & family and go see it no question.
