I'm so glad that you didn't delete this video. I'm somewhat intimidated by my cover stitch machine. It's inspirational to see someone have problems and not be defeated. So like you I will press on with a smile on my face and figure it out. Thanks.

On a serious note, I want you to know that your videos are playing a large part in my mental wellbeing at the moment. I recently traveled 1400miles to visit my Mother who has Parkinson’s and dementia. That alone was heartbreaking. I haven’t been home for some 20 years due to childhood abuse from my Father. It all occurred in a time where no one ever spoke out. I’ve come back to my now home with extreme anxiety. Extreme because I was alone and everything I suffered was alone. Seeing Mum and the places the abuse occurred along with watching the old town fall into ruin with boarded shops and the falling down places I once used has been horrible. Your videos I started watching before I went north and now I kind of have on a loop because sewing was always my happy place and your giggles, mistakes, and wealth of experience are comforting. 🙏

I was trying to sew my binding on a vest top with shelf bra (love notions luna loungewear) and i was having issues with stitching too. After the video ended I changed my needle to a 90/14 as it was 80/12 and the issues were fixed. I do find the cover stitch very temperamental and fussy but love the finish. Thanks for the video it really was very helpful even if it didn’t work out completely to plan. The solutions and tips that were being shared by you and the viewers was really informative. There were tips I hadn’t heard of and I have watched several cover stitch tutorials on different platforms.

Please dont delete this Live (includes the thumb cuff sew along). It's so frustrating when the thread breaks. I have the BBL Triumph and manual says to ck threading, needle inserted correctly, thread quality, thread feeding off cone correctly, needle size & type. I need a specific ELx705 for cover stitching. Doesn't matter for serging. Thanks Saremy! Love your tutorials.
I've decided to join the guildies. Hope that's the best way to support you!

It’s because you are pulling the fabric putting tension on the fabric.
