JEEEZE! Talk about a relief. So glad it wasn't catastrophic! Eating an intercooler bolt is such a bummer but glad it's a quick bounce back

Glad things are looking optimistic 👍. I like the turbo idea. Good stuff.

I hated watching the video of it blowing but glad you're okay. On to the next build

I had the idea for doing a Turbo MMR has adapters that allow to use any Coyote manifold. Your car would be super sick with a turbo

Thinking maybe head gasket leak exhaust to coolant if the oil looks ok, but that intercooler with missing h/w is concerning.
You'll soon know if not already. We'll see what Doc Jordan has to say during tear down. Good luck on that. 🤞

That's crazy it was backing out intercooler bolts! It'll make that rear cylinder get a lot hotter charge air temp relative to the rest with the bolts backing out letting charge air bypass the intercooler and possibly making that cylinder knock. Did charge air temps rise more than usual during those last few passes? You could look at previous logs of pre and post blower temps "if you log them" and try to see if post intercooler was trending higher and higher as the bolts started backing out more and more!

I shut the car down right... after I tried to blip the throttle a couple times and down shifted lol I'd hope a freshly built engine would still be clean. It hasn't had 100k miles of regular oil and driving so of course it won't have burnt old oil look.

Always wondered if straight water wetter would run that much cooler?
Good news hopefully the beast is rolling soon

What went wrong? Whoever installed the intercooler didn't torque the bolts correctly and they started backing out, going through the intake port bouncing around in the combustion chamber (not good) and then out the exhaust

I absolutely loved this shelby cause everything seems like it’s turbo nowadays, to see a whipple stick street gt500
Keeping up or waxing stuff like that TT huracan or the supras or any of the fast streetcars from your FL2K vids was just awesome, car will still be sick but to me it’s gonna loose some of that sickness with the turbo🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah smacking limiter going down the track will lift or blow out a head gasket

Dude I wish I could have that motor and put it in my 05 explorer that would be crazy to have a all-wheel drive tire burning exploder 😂🙏

U should do a giveaway on parts like coyote swap, blower, something

Guess you're going to use threadlock on the intercooler bolts? Or they weren't torqued correctly, best of luck with the re-build.

I think I'll stick with my meager stage 2 Whipple 650 whp car. 1100 ft lbs of torque, 1300 whp looks to be WAY too scary in many ways😁. Looking forward to the next chapter.
