Does anyone else literally cry whenever they think about the lyrics and how it’s all over
Like I know that the show is coming out but it’s not the same. It feels colder, less like home, which is how the movies felt.

Billy Boyd had captured how I feel about goodbyes. I hate them they are so sad. I don’t like feeling sad. I can’t express myself when I’m sad. Billy has done it for me.

The most underrated artist on the planet. He's too good for mainstream anyway.

We played this song at my dads funeral, he didn’t get the chance to see the last part of the hobbit and hear this song. He introduced me to the lord of the rings and it very quickly became my favourite films and books of all time! Love you dad 💚

No, no. I'm not crying. My mom has been cutting onions for the last eleven minutes and five seconds.

There is one more reason I almost cry when I hear this song, because it's kinda like a farewell to Sir Christopher Lee as well.

I was really depressed last year I planned my funeral and I wanted this to be the last song to be played. Luckily I was strong enough to fight through this awful disease and makes me appreciate this song so so much. Thankyou for an amazing song.

I grew up with Harry Potter, watched Lord of the Rings captured the world and re-visited Middle Earth with the Hobbit. Billy's voice heralding the last goodbye to a beloved world was just magic.

Wow he sang for 9 hours! I appreciate all the care they put into this song, and I love Billy's beautiful voice. Farewell to one of the greatest series of films ever: Lord of the Rings

Not only is this song good for ending The Hobbit, the lyrics apply to real life. It applies to those friends and family that have been with you since the beginning of your hardships. I want this song at my funeral. Because, yes it's sad. But the song also seem somberly happy. It tells people to hold on to the memories and to live their life remembering the journey. That's what I want my family and friends to do. The song is so powerful when you apply it to your actual life. I keep getting a lump in my throat as I think of certain people while listening to this song. It's musically beautiful, but it's just as emotionally beautiful.

"Nailed it. Done."

"No."

"No? Not nailed it. Everyone stay where you are."

Idk why that made me laugh

I cry for happiness and sadness at the same time. The last goodbye, but also, I imagine myself telling the story of a little hobbit to my future kids
