Treasure under the carpet! Funny how some people prefer carpet isn't it. They think it's cheaper but they don't really consider how gross it eventually becomes, or the fact that they slave with the vacuum cleaner for several hours a year just to clean the top of it! Nice project, and another great production! Well done, Caleb!

I took up lino one time in a kitchen only to find another layer underneath it. Luckily I was laying laminate flooring and didn't have to get it 100% clean, just flat enough to not mess with the floating floor. Still wasn't any fun, though. That scraper scene in this video gave me the shivers remembering.

I removed about half of my basement carpet last winter due to mould. Since it was all concrete otherwise removal was fairly easy, but i found cutting the carpet straight was the worst part.

Can't really figire out why someone would prefer carpet over hardwood.
