my choir teacher picked this song for high school choir and when they performed it, it was beautiful and the next day we heard that my choir teacher was laid off. we cried for a hour… this song just ties everything together with everything going on and i love it :)) as much as it makes me cry it makes me happy!

The movie, The greatest showman is beyond incredible..A true rags to riches story...while being so humble throughout, outsiders making him feel like the person he started out has..yet coming so far while still being grounded..The story is saying, never change for no one..and never let no one make you feel any less of a human for stepping outside of the box, always be yourself and the right people will gravitate towards you..In the end., he gained alot of respect for standing his ground..and making a real success against all odds.This song is outstanding..well done to the writers behind the film and musical.one of the best of all time..

The first time I saw this film and heard this song was a few years ago. My family was visiting my grandparents and other extended family members in Ontario and we were having dinner with some cousins who I had never met before. Their parents put on this movie and we watched it in their basement with our cousins. Within seconds of the first song playing me and my little sister were dancing and spinning around the room, clapping and singing along with distant relatives we had never met before! (And their lovely dog) It was a absolutely fabulous time and I’ve never forgotten it.

This song means the Main character (him) chased for the rich and cheers because he wanted his wife to have a better life, out of his poverty. But after his success, he blinded from the lights. He had a scandal with a beautiful woman (who sings "Never enough"), then his wife leaves him but he just lets her go. Next, He went to a better place with this beautiful woman.
Finally, one day he stopped chasing the cheers and remembered that all of these, his success, just for wanting the better life for his wife, not their cheers. Then he threw everything back and went home (to kiss his wife :)) ).
