My impression of Bret was that he came in the wrestling business 1-2 generations too late. He’a an honorable guy and his word is his bond.

I ordered that DVD it's awsome November 15, 2005 it was released. The dvd set is what Bret wanted done for his brother Owen.

Bret was such a stand up guy. Vince pushed him out then screwed him over then killed his brother and Bret still willing to worth with Vince. Funny thing is Vince is screwed now.

I'm glad Bret got a set of good DVDs. However, the bs idea from Vince a screwed dvd, even in this, I can see Vince is guilty of his bullshit with that intern he hired and I'm sure his yes men were apart if it. I lost all respect for Vince. I'm glad Triple H is CEO. Hopefully, Hunter is truly running WWE now and not Vince

In the special features of that dvd set, Bret talks about “fallen comrades” different wrestlers who passed away and very emotional when he talks about Owen, Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude .

In a different interview, Bret said he agreed to do the DVD after seeing what the WWE had done to the Warrior in the “Self-Destruction” DVD and not wanting THAT to happen to him, he rushed to do a DVD with WWE before they could do that to him. His DVD came out ONE year after Warrior’s.

I do see why Vince thought he needed to do what he did. Bret did let his personal feelings about Shawn affect his professional side and it sucks that they couldn't work something better out. Making a DVD about that still wouldn't have been the right thing to do though. It was pretty much a no win situation for both sides.

Beet has a reputation for being honourable BUT his going to the press was INCREDIBLY fucking shitty. He did as much to damage kayfabe as Vince did in the aftermath.
