Thank you for this video. Most dev videos around open source technology technologies assume that most people are using a flavour or some form of Linux OS but in a country like South Africa, Windows is a big deal and the struggles are real to configure Windows to just get basic tools working as a developer.

why are you using homebrew instead of apt?

Why should i use Brew?
What happens if i for example use apt-get install git?
And also Windows has Store that has all programs like vscode.
In your tutorial you used Winget.
Winget and Microsoft Store is the same?

which timeframe from start to end of this video i should follow, i have vs code installed already i was using git bash but it takes like 30 seconds to acitvate if i open vs code with the project i was already working on

i have wsl version 2 (for docker)
visual studio code with command prompt as default terminal profile

now i just want zsh
i mostly work with react (vite), django
