1995 doesn't feel like 27 years ago... Smh, I'm getting old.

That Kookaburra is a beautiful coin. I'll definitely have to pick some up sometime.

I'm no expert, but I feel the Perth Mint are right up there in regards to both the quality and beauty of their silver bullion designs. Certainly I feel they are heads and shoulders above Royal Mint in regards to silver quality.

Love Love Love the Kookaburras. Learnt my lesson by missing out on last years that mintage of 500, 000 goes really fast. Bought 2 this year and was told they are nearly gone. 😱

Yet, another great video. This video inspired me to go through my stack and make a quick video of my currently inventory. I was surprised at how much of my silver is in larger (10 oz plus) sovereign coins.
I definitely prefer sovereign coins, due to their easier authentication. Ive been willing to pay 1-2 dollars per oz more for sovereign coins compared to generic rounds. And so, Ive ended up with a lot of Britannias.
I figure, the value of each piece includes the melt value, plus any value added by the artistry of the design, plus any historical or philosophical value.
Ive tried to be more of a stacker than a collector. And yet, I find myself heavy on Queens Beast coins. Full set of the 2 oz series, some of which we paid fairly high premiums for. A surprising number of 10 oz coins, because 10 oz coins are beautiful, and hefty and special. And a few Kilo coins, Queens Beasts and Australian Kooks. Just something about those big, beautiful, hefty bullion coins.
I just sold a 10 oz Queens Beast Yale through eBay. The buyer got a hell of a deal, and I barely broke even. And, I’m still satisfied with the sale. I’m working on figuring out actual value and the market for silver here in the USA.
I sure wish there was someone here in the US doing what you are doing in the UK, with your Buyers Club. Haven’t found it yet. Ive got several more Yale coins I’m willing to sell. And I’d like to buy some other Queens Beast 10 oz coins. Particularly the Griffin, Falcon, Unicorn and, OMG, the Dragon. And I’ll clearly have to pay more than what I can sell the Yales for.
Sigh… I appear to be a collector, more than a stacker. Ive always loved rare and beautiful things. Particularly if they are under appreciated.
I suppose that’s why I live with the most beautiful woman on earth and have the two best dogs ever.
Thanks for all of your wisdom, BYB.
Over the last few years I have converted most of my “savings” held in “incredible shrinking US dollars” paying .01 percent interest, into silver and gold. And land and a place to live in.
I prefer to hold my little “wealth” in things that have maintained their value for centuries and millennia, rather than “trust in the full Faith and Credit of the US Government.
Like George Carlin said, “There’s a big club out there, and it you’re not in it”!
Gold, silver, land, water, and maybe Bitcoin.
There are still a few things out there worth owning.
And F the WEF’s “New World Order”
Thanks
Well, I don’t need to be a member of that club. I just want to hold and build my little empire.
And I will defend it. (Insert American joke here).
Thanks again, BYB. I’d still like to buy some of your hand poured silver.
👍 🍄🧙‍♂️

I bought a Kookaburra the other week. Absolutely gorgeous coin. I purchased that one for my own enjoyment.😀

I think the 5 oz size is a little under appreciated. I like the size.

Perth Mint always produces top notch stuff. To the boxes, and what you have said about them nowadays? I have to disagree and I think packaging is worse. Great piece, I love kookaburra coins

I’ve watched a few of your videos - do you ever get proof coinage or is it always bullion you stick toward ?
