Built like a Tank! The RSeat P1 Sim Racing Rig

This is the RSeat P1, a heavyweight steel sim racing rig, available in many colours, but clearly, orange is the correct one. This rig is built like a tank. I’m an Aluminium profile fanboy at heat, but this one impressed me in terms of strength and stability.

Chris you look like you are in a terrible position to avoid hitting your legs on that wheelbase mount, that mount looks like a serious oversight and would rule this rig out for me.

Regarding height, I’m 6’6” and decided to make my own rig out of cls timber to my own specifications. It looks ‘okay’ but I sim in vr so it’s not an issue. Sturdy as a rock and under £100!!

It is a clean good looking chassis. His legs look awfully close to the wheel deck though. I still like my P1X. You just can’t go wrong with profile if you like changing things around ever.

I can already hear delivery drivers yelling bloody murder lol. It sure looks great and does take adjustments headaches of a profile rig out of the equation. Love my next level elite buy everytime I want to fiddle for better position I tend to put it off lol.

Just received my P1 and the base, seat mount/slider, and pedal platform were missing. All I received was the racing seat and the welded tube steel wheel base mount. Pretty bummed.

At 4:06 that's quite the safety hazard, I cringed hard when I saw that imagining fingers being anywhere near it. Obviously nobody should be sticking their hands and fingers inside a moving mechanism but accidents can happen, the way that came down hard down like a guillotine

It certainly looks good and stirdy! The delivery drivers will definately want one to "have a forklift" available. Taking it out the box piece by piece, would that actually mean you've got movable chunks to go to the "upstairs" ? (as in, one-person-operation)
Also, in that last piece of footage of you driving, i noticed your shoulders not even being near the backrest of the seat. Might be because of your (yes, and mine more than yours) burly-ness, or the seat positioning/angle. Or the seat itself, that your lower body is supported, but your upper is not... i got that same issue with driving garbage lorries... whereas my simrig (obutto) is quite "supportive". (edited because my little laptop cannot keep up with my fingers or the other way around...spelling errors..hahaha)
Sidenote, on the usage of osw20 with obutto revolution, i emailed them (obutto) that the wheelbase needs an upgrade, as it cracked at those little rods underneath the wheelplate. A collegue of mine welded a steel strip vertically underneath, basically around the rear side of the underside of the wheelplate/deck, so it helps with dealing with the torque of the osw20 (at around 12 nm).. if i'd break that one, he told me to come back.. (since i hadn't within a week, he already knew it was a good fix.. it's just that not everybody knows how to or knows who to aks to weld something)

You can't raise the wheel height very easily. It is a tank, but very limiting in design. I would never buy one.
